Excellent tuna fishing on 18-35 pound yellowfin
by Brian Pifer, 9-04-2023
We experienced excellent tuna fishing on 18-35 pound yellowfin.
They were eating the paint off the boat.
To busy to take photos but lucky enough to get Scott with this beautiful yellowfin tuna.
We got what we needed so we're traveling back up looking for yellowtail on the beach tomorrow.
Weather is up making it a choppy ride but hoping that doesn't stop the bite.

Offshore Looking For Kelps
by Brian Pifer, 9-05-2023
We tried for yellowtail along the beach for very little results. Saw plenty of sign to make a catch but they had other ideas than bite our hooks.
We decided to go offshore looking for kelps. Found a few kelps that had small dorado with a few nicer ones mixed. And of course the yellowfin tuna followed us shortly after.

Yellowtail
by Brian Pifer, 9-18-2023
We had a good morning on good grade yellowtail ranging from 15-30 pounds.
Yoyo jig and a weighted sardine was best with 40-50 pound line.
The wind has been coming up all day making it choppy. We decided to bail and go hunting for the yellowfin tuna.

Goof off
by Brian Pifer, 9-21-2023
We fish along the Baja coast for very fun fishing. The calico bass fishing was epic with 2-8 pounders on the surface iron and flyine baits every cast.
The guys had a fun day relaxing and pulling on a variety of fish. Unfortunately the trip has come to an end.
We are heading up the coast to be in Saturday morning.

Fun flurry style tuna fishing yesterday for the group
by Brian Pifer, 9-27-2023
Fun flurry style tuna fishing yesterday for the group. The yellowfin weren't as eager as the last few trips but we ended up putting a great day together.
We bailed late afternoon to gain altitude to be in position for some more yellowtail today.
We'll check back soon with a report.
Great day yellowtail fishing
by Brian Pifer, 9-27-2023
Another great day yellowtail fishing. Tried an area this morning that didn't work out to good for us so we made a 40 mile move and it paid off.
Beautiful grade yellowtail. We are heading up into the beach for some more action.
We will be looking for sea bass, calico bass, and yellowtail for the people that want them.

Bass bass bass
by Brian Pifer, 9-28-2023
I think i can speak for everyone today. Probably the best big bass fishing we've experienced in a long time. One after another every cast wether it was a bass, yellowtail, Cuda, or bonito it was action all day.
Very fun fishing to end our trip.
