They started their trip with a great seminar and then right to the amazing giveaways from AVET REELS owners, Harry & son Onik. Thank you, AVET REELS, for giving everyone on board a brand-new AVET reel. Check in with us later for photos and updates.
Thank you,

Avet 7 Day
Wide Open
As good as it gets on quality wise for down below. Most of the fish we are seeing are 40-60lbs with a few 20-30lbers mixed in. We haven't seen this good of fishing down here in a long time. Everyone tagged what they wanted today so we are moving onto the next species. We will be spending tomorrow looking for yellowtail.

Another great day
They had action early in the morning on white seabass, pargo, and yellowtail. Once daylight broke they scratched away at a few more yellowtail and a wahoo for the day.

Roger Eckhardt/Graftech 8 Day
We left yesterday afternoon on our Roger Eckhardt/Graftech 8 Day Trip with a lot of wonderful people. Loaded the tanks up with sardines from the bait receiver and took off for down south. Today we woke up in flat calm weather, had breakfast, and Captain Brian did his tackle seminar and recommendations on gear. Once finished with his speech Roger did his raffle and giveaways with Graftech Rods, Avet Reels, Nomad lures, Salas sureface irons and yoyo jigs, raider jigs, colt snipers, florocarbon spools, sabikis, and more. We are getting rigged up today so we can be ready for tomorrow morning looking for yellowfin tuna.
Roger Eckhardt/Graftech 8 Day
Awesome first day of fishing for us. Full speed 25-50lb yellowfin tuna in the corner eating everything you threw at them. Everyone tagged what they wanted. We are making a move down south looking for yellowtail and maybe a wahoo tomorrow.

Another great day of fishing for our Roger/Graftech group of anglers. Steady action on 18-30lb yellowtail on flyline and yoyo jigs. Everyone tagged what they wanted once again so we are going to go explore offshore for a kelp and keep working our way up the line to fish the beach the following day.

Another strong finish to end the trip. WSB bite full speed late in the day and great bass fishing to go alongside it. Another memorable trip with Roger and everyone who made it this year. Thanks for an awesome trip.

We traveled up the coast in beautiful weather as everyone broke down their gear so the guys can clean the boat. We will be in tomorrow morning around 0545. Thank you again Roger and everyone for a wonderful trip.
Western States Metal Roofing 3 Day
We just left on our Western States Metal Roofing 3 Day Trip with an awesome group of people. We are heading out west despite the weather forecast ( hoping the weather person is wrong). We will be arriving after dark looking for a shot at yellowtail in the dark and bluefin in the daylight ours on anchor. Everyone is getting their gear ready before taking a nap as we will be fishing night and day for the next 3 days. Wish us luck

Western States Metal Roofing 3 Day
With the weather being up, it didn't stop the bluefin from bitting. We had a great day on mixed size fish. Most of them are 20-30lbs with some nice fish at 50-60lbs. We didn't connect on the yellowtail last night, so we are hoping for some redemption.Â

We
The tuna was MIA out west today for us. Looked all over and saw very little sign around. We opted to put our anchor down and picked at the yellowtail late in the afternoon to make up for it and managed a handful of bluefin to finish off the trip. Shout-out to Western States Metal Roofing and the Rubio's for another fun trip.

Rice Bowl 7 Day
Yesterday we finished up along the beach. We had a few good shots and white seabass and yellowtail, but the bonito made it difficult to get through. We had plenty of action on dome big calico bass, sand bass, cuda, and bonito. We are heading home.
