Graphtech Rods/Avet Reels 3-day
We departed on our Graftech Rods/Avet Reels 3 Day this morning. We loaded everyone early, got our bait, and started heading south for the bluefin grounds. At lunch Rick did his giveaways and raffles. Some lucky customers got new reels and new rods to add to their collection of gear. We will be in the zone right at dark hoping to connect for the night bite. Stay tuned!

Trip 24-12 day 2
Last night the fish didn't cooperate like the last few nights for the guys. The guys put a lot effort at the rail and managed 8 bluefin. We drove and covered all areas where the bluefin was seen today but wasn't able to connect daylight hours. Found a few kelps that produced a few small yellowtail. We are trying a different area tonight. See what happens.
Trip 24--12 last night of fishing
After looking all day, we came up short. The bluefin disappeared again. As we keep fishing for these bluefin, It amazes all of us why they show at night and disappear during the day hours or vise versa. Maybe one day we will figure out the patterns of these fish. Until then we will keep trying to catch these creatures of interest. We will be in tomorrow morning 0600 eta and turning around
on another 3 day.

TRIP#24-13 3 Day Blue Moo Krewe
We left yesterday morning on our annual 3 Day Blue Moo Krewe with a great group of people. Got down to this lower zone for very little results. A couple guys had schools stick with them for 4-5 hours that paid off. Other than a few dabs of fish we never saw a school. Hope today they decide to float and tonight they show a little better. We will check back soon.
Night bite
Made a 65 mile move late evening and it paid off for some 80-130lb bluefin. See what today brings
our way.

We departed on our Western Metal 2 Day yesterday afternoon with an awesome group of mostly beginners that have never been on the water before. Boy, were they in shock when we got in on the action of these bluefin tuna. With most of the fish ranging over a 100lbs we had some long epic battles. Great job everyone. Fish on!
The big ones came out to play last night. We left on a Mother's Day 3 Day trip yesterday afternoon and bomb down to the old zone from a few days ago. Seeing nothing on the way down, we got the 911 phone call about a lot of fish being seen. They weren't kidding. Some of the biggest schools we've seen this year so far. Most of the fish is 100-180 pounds so be prepared and have the right gear.

Trip 24-17
We departed today on a 2 Day Open Trip with anglers ready to fish. We got to the zone around 5pm this afternoon and saw some nice schools right away. We started hooking a few fish but were under gunned gear and line wise. We managed to land 1 150lber out of 6 fish we hooked. Hope tonight brings chaos.

·
Roy and the guys left yesterday morning on a 2 Day Open Trip. They topped off the tanks with some nice sardines and headed out looking for these bluefin. Roy called a said theirs no shortage of fish. He said they're some really nice schools around but was hard to get bites last night. Make sure you have multiple style jigs with you on these 1-3 day trips.
Smaller jigs are a must with these smaller grade bluefin 150, 200, 250, 300 gram jigs. You may also want in your tackle box some 300, 320, 350, 400, and 450 gram jigs. You just never know what your gonna need so be prepared.

Foreman Charters 3-day
Capt Roy and the guys are headed out on our annual 3 Day Foreman Charter with an awesome group of guys. Majority of these guys are from or near Capt Brian's home town in San Clemente making it a fun trip catching up with everyone. We hope our timing is right and these fish want to bite. Wish us luck.
3 Day Foreman Charter
Last night was a little tough for us catching wise. Still plenty of fish around and seen fish all day, but same story, hard to get bites. Today we managed 2 smaller 20-25lb bluefin and lost a few. We have high hopes for tonight with lots of fish around.
In Loving Memory of Mike Foreman
3 Day Foreman Charter
We had a successful last day. Captain Roy doing his thing, always putting everyone on fish. We had a slow plunker bite first thing in the morning on 18-25lb fish with light line. Then spent the afternoon chasing the big fish around. We managed some nice fish right before dark and right before we had to go home in the dark. We will be back tomorrow bright and early at 0500.
Thank you Bob, Cale, and everyone for a great trip once again on the Foreman 3 Day. See you all next year.

Graftech 8 Day
Captain Roy Rose and the guys left yesterday morning on our annual 8 Day Graftech/Roger Eckhardt Limited Load. Roy did his tackle seminar this morning. After going over the gear, everyone will be needed for the trip, Mike Banda did a raffle and giveaways. We still have another day of travel before we arrive at our destination.
Graftech 8 Day
Today Captain Roy did a tackle seminar this morning and discussed what species we will be targeting, talked about limits, etc. Spent the rest of the day getting everyone rigged up for yellowtail fishing and a possibility of tuna. We will be fishing by 11am tomorrow morning. Wish us luck
Graftech 8 Day
They bite!!!
What a start to our trip. We arrived around noon with a great surprise of these 30-50lb yellowfin tuna and 15-24lb yellowtail. Very good sign of fish boiling around right as we were getting our anchor down. Mike Banda with this 45 plus pound yellowtail to start his trip out. We are going to try and make some scad mackeral and try again tomorrow.

Graftech 8 Day
The action continues
Everyone finished tagging the yellowtail they wanted by finishing off with a few slugs. As the day went on the tuna showed better and better. Roy and the guys caught what they could on the tuna before heading up the line. With the weather up, we will be traveling all day tomorrow hoping for calm seas.
