OFF TO A GOOD START


Off to a good start. We departed a few days ago on our Graftech Rods/ Avet Reels 16 day. Rick Ozaki brought a crazy amount of gear to give away including Rods/ reels, terminal tackle and all sorts of good old swag. We started out with nice Wahoo bite to get warmed up. So far the Tuna have been 90-200# and have made their showing. The water is warm and so is the weather. We are picking away down here and we will check back in soon. Matt and Independence crew.

Hey guys we have been hard at work down here wresling Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna. The Wahoo fishing has been epic everyday and the fish are fat and healthy. We have been picking away at Yellowfin Tuna in the 70-170# class and today they made a good showing. We have good weather and lots of time to capitalize. We hope to keep up the pace and get a few more shots at a big one. Wish us luck. Matt and Indy crew.

The guys are staying busy. We caught 19 tuna today 60-160 # with some more wahoo thrown in.  The wahoo fishing has been steady and we are staying focused on keeping the yellowfin coming over the rail. Captain Matt

Trip 21-3 Final trip report

Things took a turn for the better down here and the big boys showed up! We had good action the last couple days. The wahoo fishing slowed down and the tuna fishing got down right busy. The grade of fish is anywhere from 70-200+ We are on our way up now and super stoked to end with a bang. So we begin the long journey home breaking down tackle and sharing fish stories. Its been a great trip with a super fun group of guys. We have a great catch and I’m sure the guys are anxious to show it off. See y’all in a few days. Matt and Independence crew
