Trip #21-28 10-2-2021 Indy Shoot-Out departure
We departed yesterday afternoon on our annual Indy Shootout 10 Day. Got a nice load of bait and took off south. Today we did our tackle seminar and rigged everyone up. We are ready for anything that comes are way. We'll be traveling the rest of today and a little bit of tomorrow morning before we arrive to our 1st destination. Hoping for some wahoo and yellowfin tuna. We'll keep you posted.
trip 21-28 Great start for first 10 day trip
Good start to our trip! We were able to catch 7 wahoo today trolling around that were 40-70lbs. Very nice fish! We also had a sun downer that bit into the dark for 44 good grade yellowfin tuna (20-35lbs). Good way to end the day. We are going to keep heading down the line and look for some big Yellowfin tuna and wahoo at the lower banks. We'll be there first thing in the morning. Let you know tomorrow how we do. Wish us luck
trip 21-28 Wahoo start
trip 21-28 nice sized wahoo for show
We were on the hunt for the big bad yellowfin tuna and wahoo at the lower banks picked up a few but didn't go as planned. Managed to catch and release a few marlin. The guys and gales caught some grouper for our efforts. We will be heading back up the line to put us in position for tomorrow. Hoping for some action.

trip 21-28 We are gettin them ON!!!
Had a great day today on nice yellowtail. The grade of fish were from 14-22 pounds. After a few slow days searching for trophy tuna, we were glad to get some action. The weather isn't on our side this trip but we are trying to make the best of it. Tomorrow we are relocating hoping for wahoo and tuna. Check back tomorrow.

TRIP-21-28 NICE GRADE OF TUNA & YELLOWS TODAY
Very nice grade of tuna for us today (20-35lbs). The weather and the fish definitely made us work for it but we managed to catch a few. Had some good chances at grouper as well but most of them won the battle except one 60lber. Hoping for another good day tomorrow. We'll check in later

TRIP 21-28 New fishing area paid off.
Another great day of tuna fishing. We fished a new area today and it paid off. The guys and gales caught what we needed or at least what they wanted. All the fish were beautiful grade again ranging from 18-35 pounds. Everyone had a good time. Lots of laughs and smiles all day. We are heading up the coast tonight and fish somewhere on the beach. We're hoping to keep the ball rolling.
Trip #21-29 10-12-2021 Tackle Express/Brett Edmondson
The gang is back together for the Brett Edmondson 10 day trip. After a few days of travel and getting rigged and ready we got into some yellowfin and wahoo. Both have been steady and we have had great wahoo fishing to start us off. Great weather to go with it is always a plus and the guys are putting in the time at the rail to make it happen. We are determined to stay busy at it and we will check back in soon. Wish us luck. Matt and Independence crew.

TRIP 21-29 JP WINNERS
trip 21-30 QUICK TURN-A-ROUND
After a quick turnaround we are back underway with Danny in the charter seat for a 10 day adventure. We spent the day getting rigged and ready for action. Danny passed out some great prizes as always including rods, reels, lures, fluorocarbon and lots of swag. The weather has been a little choppy but overall plenty fishable. We arrived on scene mid day to minimal sign of tuna and the wahoo were MIA. We caught a few yellowtail and dorado but were not impressed. We are going to make a move tonight hope to get busy early. The gang is having a great time and new friends are being made. Wish us luck. Matt and Independence Crew.

Trip 21-30 Good fishing action today
We had a great day of fishing yesterday. We started out in the dark catching nice grade tuna in the 18-30 pound range. After Sunrise we trolled around and eventually got our anchor down on some beautiful yellowtail. We had good action on the dropper loop as well as the yo-yo iron. A pleasant surprise with all the fish being 20-35 pounds. We ended up in a hot and heavy tuna bite late that went well into the dark. It was very good fishing action packed with almost all the fish in the 30-40 pound class. We are going to try for some more before we make a move in hopes of getting a few more shots at wahoo. Wish us luck. Matt and independence Crew

trip 21-30 group shot
We went hunting for big game yesterday making the full tour in search of giant yellowfin. We had good weather and felt like the conditions were plenty good. We never stumbled across any trophy tuna but we got fixed up on big dorado. We had a full speed heavy action bite with everyone bit. After the dust settled we got back underway to get in position for tomorrow. We are hoping for some more tuna and some shots at a wahoo. Perfect grease calm weather awaits us and hopefully some good fishing. Matt and Independence Crew.
GOOD YELLOWTAIL FISHING
We finished up having good Yellowtail fishing the past 2 days to go with our perfect weather. The Yellowtail are all great size 18 to 25 pounds. The yo-yo jig was the hot ticket for most as well as the dropper loop. The group had a great time tugging on the tails and the morale is high as we set our course towards San Diego. Matt and Independence Crew.
